First Come back of this famous trail running face from 2012-2016 by Pimco Sporting Events. This Special Outdoor Sports and Adventure trail fun run will be the highlight of the 1st Stage of the Woodland MAFF ‘23 which is the opening week of the festival. It is a separately managed event in cooperation with the organizer as part of the major outdoor activities of the Festival.
The trail running event brings in the fun and festive atmosphere and celebratory mood for the Woodland MAFF ‘23 as many runners come from Metro-Manila and may bring with them their families and friends from Saturday to Sunday of the first stage. The assembly of runners starts on Saturday night and with the start of the race coming at 5 am on Sunday.
Part of the fees paid by the participants will be inclusive of the P500 entrance ticket to the Festival and if they choose to camp, they will have to pay the Camping Fee separately. We expect more runners to join as they are always looking for a fun-filled weekend. Most of them are working middle class and look forward to having fun and relaxation on weekends. In fact, many runners really don’t run all the way during the marathon but they walk and run and just enjoy the beauty of nature. More so if they will be in the middle of the Festival with added activities. This event is in cooperation with Pimco Sporting Event, the Pioneer Trail running race organizer which introduced the sports in Tanay, Rizal in 2012.
The venue is branded as the Woodland Holiday & Leisure Park (Woodland). A Joint Venture Park development for holiday and leisure, rest and recreation venue for both domestic and foreign tourist guests and visitors in Tanay. Sampaloc which is becoming the Tourism Capital of Tanay, Rizal due to its year-round cool weather, beautiful mountain sceneries and views, home of hotels and resorts has no public parks for visitors to relax, eat, and play without paying for entrance fee. Woodland will be opened to the public after the event with Food Park, walkway, benches, toilets, and other facilities.
The countdown to Christmas starts in September and it is fitting to celebrate the month with a Festival in the newest addition of tourist attractions in Sampaloc, the Tourism Capital of Tanay. Woodland MAFF ‘23 is a Three-in-One event that will include Music, Art, and Food Fest over a period of 4 weekends or 12 days to be exact, from Friday to Sunday every week of September. Race Participants will not only enjoy the Race Event but will also experience the Barrio Fiesta-like celebrations that include Food Bazaar, Outdoor Adventure like Camping, Live music entertainment, Art exhibits, and Outdoor games. We are opening early the registration for the Early Bird starting May 15, 2023 so you can plan out your participation in the Race Event by making it a “staycation” in Outdoors in the mountains of Sampaloc the Tourism Capital of Tanay, and complete fun.
Come early Friday and Saturday and enjoy Camping at Camper’s Delight at WOODLAND MUSIC, ART, AND FOOD FEST ‘23 be part of the festival celebrations and have a taste of the different food offered by Food Bazaar Merchants or you can be a Food Bazaar Merchant and a trail runner on Sunday, listen to the Live Music, participate in workshops, meet new contacts and friends and even find a small business suited for you, indulge in outdoor games or simply tour the different tourist destinations and facilities that you plan to visit and come back.
Why not also plan ahead with your Team Building activity in the office and hold it in the grounds of Woodland Holiday & Leisure Park where the Woodland MAFF ‘23 and the Race Event will be held? There are many things you can plan out and be part of both the Race Event and Woodland MAFF ‘23.
Better still plan ahead with your Trail Running Team, and assemble them again just like the old times when you join the Pimco Sporting Events Trail Run organized events.
