Pimco Sporting Events started out as a sports group or division business unit of Pimco Business Solutions Co. responsible for organizing, producing, and managing running race events focusing on the development and promotion of Trail Running mountain sports as a platform for companies to promote health and sports products and services and as a social solution to the economic development of upland communities through "sports tourism and sports entertainment".
It organized several trail running events brands - Natures Trail Discovery Run; Love A Tree; Run to Run; among others that became famous for trail running between 2012 to 2016. The Company decided to take a break from organizing trail running events in 2016 to the present and has recently decided to make a comeback in 2023 starting with the scheduled trail run in September 3, 2023, called Woodland International Trail Run Fun Race.
